I’m Nicole!

Welcome to Journals of Motherhood! A little corner of the internet where I share the ups and downs of parenthood, my struggles, and how I’ve learned to thrive despite whatever situation I find myself in.

Becoming a single parent rocked my world. It was unplanned. I was unprepared. But I didn’t let it stop me from continuing to thrive and give my children the best life I could give them.

I was (and still am) a stay at home mom. When the separation first happened the only option I had was to move myself and my two children into an RV on my family’s property. Not particularly the most ideal situation for a 4 year old and a baby I might add.

Instead of letting that get me down, (cursing the universe and what not) I used the help of family, friends, and the internet to give myself and my children the best I could give. I lived below or within my means. I used planners, budgeters, and courses to learn how to live with intention.

As a single mom to two beautiful boys I have learned that It’s not about how much stuff you have. How many expensive things you can brag about. What your wealth comes from is how you thrive with what you have. Not matter the circumstance.

So, now I want to put all my knowledge and experience in one place and teach other parents how they can do the same.

In a world where inflation is on the rise faster than we can keep up with, we don’t need to be making more money. What we need is to learn how to thrive no matter the circumstance.

Here, you’ll find a treasure trove of practical resources and heartfelt insights designed to help you thrive as a parent. Whether you’re looking for budgeting tips to stretch your dollars, creative organization hacks for small spaces, or guidance on navigating co-parenting with grace, this blog is here to support you.

I’ve put together a little 5-day No-Spend Challenge that I think you might enjoy. It’s full of simple tips and some encouragement to help make things a bit easier. If you’re interested, I’d love for you to join me! You can sign up here and get started whenever you’re ready.

When I’m not writing or learning about a new budgeting system you can find me sipping on a hot cup of coffee soaking up the sunshine.

Just kidding! I’m usually chasing around my one year old or homeschooling my 5 year old.

I can also build an epic train track, recite The Very Hungry Caterpillar from memory, and negotiate with a five-year-old like a seasoned diplomat—all before my morning coffee.
